With obesity rates skyrocketing to all-time highs, people are living in such a toxic state of health, many of them will do almost anything to feel better.
Given its growing popularity, a lot of people are turning to fasting as a quick way to lose weight, and the Internet, with the help of “modern science,” appears to be encouraging them.
In my video, I’ll share some tips and suggestions you’ll want to follow in order to do fasting in a safe, effective and healthy way.
Done correctly, fasting can stabilize and enhance the function of the mind as well as help the rest of your body.
However, some people jump into fasting feet first, replacing foods with fruit juices that can spike the blood sugar levels, triggering glucocorticoids that increase hunger. Taking this approach just makes a fast much more uncomfortable and causes the mind to veer toward instability.
Some “gurus” even recommend exercising very hard, cutting down on calories and taking piles of supplements and other things that significantly increase the toxic load in the body.
Remember, your body stores toxins the liver cannot effectively transform into water-soluble chemicals in the fat to protect the nervous system. Unfortunately, the bodies of too many people who look to fasting as an easy solution are already toxic due to poor nutrition.
That’s why practicing good nutritional habits helps the liver eliminate those toxins from the body through the urine, feces, sweat and breath.
In fact, your first fast should be one that eliminates junk food from your diet, something I explain in greater detail in my book, How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy.
ALWAYS pay attention to what your body is telling you. Listening to it actively will guide you in the right direction!
