Harness your Feeling-Desires for 2015 Happiness!

Harness your Feeling-Desires for 2015 HappinessMay your successes in 2014 energize and inspire you in 2015!

Every moment offers a fresh start, an opportunity, but the beginning of a new year is a special reminder to consider how we can change the way we approach our world and relate to ourselves. In this blog I’ll share some suggestions that may help you to harness what I call “desire-feelings” to manifest your dreams.

The New Year is always ripe with enthusiastic feelings of Hope – hope for a more fulfilled, actualized, personal, professional and spiritual dream of success! We have a lot of aspirations as human beings, but however we choose to define those dreams for ourselves, we hope for that “happy ending.”

Hope serves us sometimes because of the odds. Hope is the anticipation of possible future rewards, something to drive toward, and something to motivate us toward the possibility of fulfillment. Odds are that some of the things you hope for will work out without much effort, but the truth is, the bigger things may not.

So we get out the planner, organize our objectives and hope that we will achieve our yearly goals. We can’t really actualize our dreams based on hope alone.

Do a Hope List. What are you hoping for? Opportunity to knock? The outcome to be positive? The test results to be negative?

There are a lot of things that will make you feel happy, but is that happiness long lasting and true to your soul? Hope and optimism are clearly important attributes of a happy person. I know I tend toward optimism bias – the affinity to overestimate the chance that good things will happen and underestimate the chance that bad things will happen.

One of the most difficult things to contend with in life is disappointment. It’s the reason why we hold back our emotions, why we are consistently indecisive and why we are afraid of taking risks. Many people mistakenly believe that if they wanted it so badly and it didn’t materialize, then they didn’t hope hard enough.

Instead, I see a lot of addiction in hope. Hope is a very powerful and enticing feeling, but it is just the same as a daydream. Being addicted to hope is sort of like a dysfunctional relationship. We can fall into the trap of energizing cravings, the deficits of one’s life to be something other: people to be kinder, love relationships sweeter, prosperity and abundance flowing, balanced vitality, and vibrant, radiant health.

Hope is not a strategy. Hope is not a true emotion; it’s a way of thinking or a cognitive process. In the present, when we move beyond hope, wishing and prayer, we take responsibility and face the fact that positive intention toward action takes a lot more energy.

Paul Chek gives us a formula for positive ABC Dream Creation: Clarity, Belief and Action, all very important elements in the process of manifestation. I would also add “D” representing the emotional energy of your Desires. Everything we do is driven by desire to feel a certain way. Desire is a fundamental quality in the creation process and harnessing the power of your desire-feelings is significant for driving great results.

All accomplishments, no matter how big or small they are, begin with a burning desire to get the result intended.

Desire has positive polarity and energizes our thoughts and emotions. Paul Chek describes desire as the “L” in his L0Ve code. Since Love is the source of flow in all Life, your desires have an energetic component that you can harness when you become quiet enough to truly feel their magnetic attraction.

“Whenever you start guiding yourself by caring about how you feel, you start guiding yourself back into your Stream of Source Energy, and that’s where your clarity is; that’s where your joy is; that’s where your flexibility is; that’s where your balance is; that’s where your good ideas come from. That’s where all the good stuff is accessed from.”

I have discovered that the feeling nature of desires can provide me with powerful inspiration toward how I want to feel if I engage with a person, start and complete a project, or achieve a glowing state of body-mind health! What I feel acts as a motivator and helps to fuel my successes.

As you sit with your vision for 2015, list your desires and then create a stream of consciousness list of all the words that could contain the outcome feelings you want to experience. Pay attention to all your desires and how you want to feel, not just your desires for pleasure. What feelings rise up inside you? Where do you feel that in your body? Keep asking yourself how a feeling feels. Get underneath its initial impression – journal and mind map your process to become crystal clear within yourself.

The goal is to sit with and feel into each of those feelings, and then choose 3 core feelings for each of your goals. As Daniele Laporte reminds us, “we are not chasing the goal, we are chasing the feeling!” We all have the power to create any feeling we desire.

Then (this is the fun part), act the way you want to feel!

Ask yourself: What are

  • Three things I will do today to generate these feelings:
  • Three things I will do this week to generate these feelings:
  • Three things I will do this quarter to generate these feelings:
  • Three people to collaborate with who help me feel this way:

As you use your feeling-desires as your guidance system, you’ll find that you aren’t nearly as emotionally reactive. When you are able to recognize your core-desired feelings as sparks of your own soul-divinity, you’ll begin to allow them to illuminate the path of your life. They are a source of Love guidance from your soul empowering you in all that you do and are.

If you desire to be successful in life, don’t hope or wish – make a plan, feel your core desires and make it happen.

I’d love to hear your comments below after you’ve applied this process to uncover and harness your core-desired feelings to experience the magic! You’ll know it’s working for you because it feels good to do it, and it leads to more happy feelings.
