Being truly healthy means taking responsibility for both your physical and inner selves. And, building the habit of self-awareness is an important tool to help you get there.
So, what does self-awareness really mean?
Building self-awareness starts with being curious about everything related to your self, from the words you choose, to how you move and your relationships with people and food, according to CHEK Faculty member Jator Pierre in this latest video interview.
For example, when was the last time you took a shower, stepped out thinking you were done, then wondered if you really shampooed your hair? Maybe, you were thinking about tomorrow’s meeting with a client, or an argument you had with your spouse two days ago.
Neither your mind or body were present in the moment.
By paying attention to the countless number of mundane things you do every day, however, you can develop a very strong, habitual pattern of paying attention to your self.
